Senior full-stack engineer
Full stack here means all of it. That is the job, not a warning.
What this is.
Shushko is software for short-term rental hosts — booking websites, synced calendars and compliance tracking. Hosts connect their platforms once, publish a site of their own, and Shushko keeps the calendars synced and the deadlines in view.
There is no front-end team to hand work to and no back-end team to wait for. You would build the thing, ship it, and still be there when a host has a question about it.
What you would work on.
There is no fixed list, and that is deliberate. The product has several parts, and where you spend your time is a conversation rather than an assignment.
- The booking website hosts publish, and the flow guests book through
- Calendar sync — iCal, direct platform APIs
- Prices, availability, and the rules around them
- Payments, billing and payment gateway integrations
- Compliance tracking — the rules, the deadlines, the numbers a host has to report
- Guest messaging — confirmations, reminders, and the messages that bring guests back
- AI-generated content, translation into more than 30 languages, and an assistant that acts rather than answers
- The infrastructure under all of it, and making sure every part of it works on a phone
What we look for.
- You have shipped whole features, not tickets
- You are comfortable across the stack, and comfortable being the only person on a problem
- You are as good at deciding what not to build as what to build
- You would rather ask a host than guess
- You ship fast, and you fix faster when it breaks
How we hire.
A week from your first message to a decision. The task at step four is a technical interview — two hours, live, with no homework. The full process is on the careers page.
