Bookings and payments

Guests book. You get paid.

Card, bank transfer or cash. Guests on your own website pay you, not us.

Shushko booking with its payment schedule and status

Your money

The money goes straight to you.

Card payments land in your own Stripe account, opened in your name. Bank transfers and cash come to you directly, and you mark them as paid on the booking. Shushko never holds your money and takes no commission.

Payment schedule

Take a deposit now. The rest later.

Ask for part of the price when a guest books, and the rest before they arrive. You set how much each payment is, and when each one is due — when they book, before they arrive, or after they leave.

Confirmation

You decide when a booking is final.

A booking can confirm on its own, or wait for you to check it first. Set it once and it applies to every booking on your website.

Choosing how bookings are confirmed in Shushko

Your rules, on every booking.

Guests see them before they pay, so nobody is surprised later.

Cancellation rules

Choose the rule that suits your place, from relaxed to strict. The guest sees it before they pay.

Fees and taxes

A cleaning fee or a tax can sit inside the price a guest sees, or be collected at the property.

When nobody arrives

Decide what you keep — the first night, the deposit, or the whole stay. Set it once.

Set up in three steps.

You do this once. It applies to every booking on your website.

Choose how guests pay

Card, bank transfer or cash. Only card needs a Stripe account, opened in your name.

Set your terms

Deposit, cancellation rule, fees and taxes. You set them once, not for every booking.

Start taking bookings

Your booking page goes live. Guests pay by card, and you record any transfers or cash.

From a host

“Now I have my own booking website. It shows my free dates and takes the payment, so guests can book at any hour without waiting for me to reply. I keep the full price.”

Questions about payments.

Does Shushko take a commission?

No. You pay for Shushko as a subscription and that is all. What a guest pays goes to you, less whatever your card provider charges for processing.

What do I need to take card payments?

A Stripe account, opened in your name. Stripe is the company that takes the card payment and passes the money to your bank. If you only take bank transfer or cash you do not need one, and you can add it later without changing anything else.

When does the money reach my bank?

Card payments land in your Stripe account as soon as a guest pays, and Stripe sends the money on to your bank as often as you choose. The first payout takes longer than the ones after it. Cash and transfers into your own bank never go through Stripe — they come straight to you.

Where are card details kept?

With Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by Shushko.

What about bookings from Airbnb and other booking sites?

Those are paid through Airbnb, Booking.com or wherever the guest booked, and the money and the guest details stay on that site. Everything on this page is for bookings taken on your own website, or added by you.
